Welcome to the Sagrada Medicina School for Holistic Healing

Colibri Corazon is dedicated to enhancing awareness, knowledge, and accessibility of alcohol-free plant medicines to support our communities in boosting and improving wellness. As we embark on our fifth year of operation, we are thrilled to introduce our online classroom via the Sagrada Medicina School of Holistic Healing. Through both virtual and in-person learning sessions, we aim to provide students with the opportunity to reclaim our medicine, health, and ancestral ways of living.

Foundations in Herbal Medicine Course

Foundations in Herbal Medicine is a year-long exploration into the craft of herbal healing. Each month, we will explore herbs, foods, cycles, and healing practices to nurture our entire being—body, mind, and spirit. Through guided, hands-on experiences, students will develop a profound understanding of how to enhance their own wellness through alcohol-free herbal medicine and how to share that knowledge with their communities to support others.

Our program will provide students with an integrative approach to wellness that includes:

• Bioregional Herbalism

• Alcohol Free Medicine Making 

• Food as Medicine

• Chinese Five Element Theory

• Traditional Healing Methods of Northern New Mexico

• Moon Magic

• Herbal Astrology

• Spiritual & Energetic Herbalism

• Seasonal Living

Virtual Program (12 Monthly Classes)

• DATES: January 17, February 21, March 21, April 18, May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 24, November 21, & December 19

• TIME: Saturdays, 10am- 1:00pm MST * (Mountain Standard Time)

Our virtual sessions will include a mix of presentations, discussions, breathwork, self-reflection, and techniques for making alcohol-free herbal medicines. Every month, students will engage in at-home study, practice crafting herbal remedies, and work on their final project. Additionally, each student will have a personal mentoring session with the instructor to enhance their class experience and support their herbal journey.

72 Total Educational Hours

• 36 Online Class Hours

• 35 Self Study (Includes at home medicine making, monthly homework, and a final project due at the end of the year.)

• 1 Hour Mentoring Session with the Instructor

Community Chat Board: Students will have access to an online community chat board to help foster their education and connection to each other.

Learning Tools: Students will receive custom materials and community resources to support their learning journey.

Colibri Corazon focuses on the lived experiences of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. We invite individuals of all genders, sexualities, and identities to join our learning environments. In our courses and materials, we aim to create an atmosphere that incorporates gender-neutral language, inclusive imagery, and decolonized healing frameworks. We encourage everyone to consider whether this approach to learning aligns with their values before enrolling in the class.

Offering:

The cost of this 12-month course is $1200.00 plus tax. Students have a choice of payment options.

• Monthly payments of $100 (12 total)

• Quarterly payments of $300 (4 total)

• One annual payment of $1200 (due upon registration)

*Colibri Corazon prioritizes BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals and families in our initiatives. Our scholarship fund aims to address the effects of longstanding racism and discriminatory policies by offering accessible herbal education and remedies to community members who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color and/or LGBTQIA+.
