Welcome to the Sagrada Medicina School for Holistic Healing

Colibri Corazon is committed to raising awareness, knowledge, and access to alcohol-free plant medicines in order to help our communities increase & improve wellness.  As we enter our fifth year in business, we are excited to launch our online classroom through the Sagrada Medicina School of Holistic Healing. Through virtual and in-person learning sessions we hope to offer students an opportunity to reclaim our medicine, health, and ancestral ways of being.

Foundations in Herbal Medicine Course

Throughout this course we will learn the Circles of Wellness, which is our theory on ways of healing. Every month we will dive into the herbs, foods, cycles and healing practices to support our whole being on a body, mind, and spirit level. Students will gain a deep understanding of how to support their own wellness as well as practical ways to bring their knowledge and experiences to their communities.

Our year long program will provide students with a integrative approach to wellness that includes:

• Bioregional Herbalism

• Alcohol Free Medicine Making 

• Food as Medicine

• Chinese Five Element Theory

• Traditional Healing Methods of Northern New Mexico

• Moon Magic

• Herbal Astrology

• Spiritual & Energetic Herbalism

• Seasonal Living

A Year Long Virtual Program (12 Monthly Classes)

• DATES: January 17, February 21, March 21, April 18, May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 24, November 21, & December 19

• TIME: Saturdays, 10am- 1:00pm MST * (Mountain Standard Time)

Our virtual sessions will offer a blend of conversation, breathwork & self-reflection opportunities, and basic herbal medicine making techniques.

72 Educational Hours

• 36 Online Class Hours

• 35 Self Study (Includes at home medicine making, monthly homework, and a final project due at the end of the year.)

• 1 Hour Mentoring Session with the Instructor

Community Chat Board: Students will have access to an online community chat board to help foster their education and connection to each other.

Learning Tools: Students will receive custom materials and community resources to support their learning journey.

Colibri Corazon centers the lived experiences of our BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. We welcome all genders, sexualities and identities into our learning spaces. Throughout our course and in our materials, we will be fostering an environment that uses gender neutral language, inclusive imagery and decolonized frameworks of healing. We ask each person to reflect within to see if this way of learning aligns with their values before signing up with the class.

Offering:

The cost of this 12-month course is $1200.00 plus tax. Students have a choice of payment options.

• Monthly payments of $100 (12 total)

• Quarterly payments of $300 (4 total)

• One annual payment of $1200 (due upon registration)

Our scholarship fund was created to mitigate generations of racism and discriminatory policies by providing accessible herbal education and remedios to community members who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color and/or LGBTQIA+.
